“First of all, I’m supporting Brewster because he’s got a vision—to make Austin green(er)—and because he wants to work on education, on parks, he’s a family guy, loves Austin for all the weird and wonderful aspects that make it Austin….And because I know him and think he is authentic and will follow through with promises/ideas and the aforementioned vision.
If I may, I’d like to add that, hopefully, he won’t support any upcoming designs on creating more tollways because those are a complete nefarious rip off, if you ask me. With the money the Obama administration is releasing to cities to aid with funding, I pray the money won’t be used towards toll roads…
When Brewster becomes Mayor, I hope that this national money will be put towards: updating Austin’s education system (better student/teacher ratios in classroom, raises for teachers, more emphasis on math/science and greater support/return of art/music within schools…)… towards job development… bus lines/bus stop bench and protective rest areas… and infrastructure (what can be done to re-route Lamar traffic? especially with all the new condos/high rises in downtown Austin…?)
I think citizens are seeking younger, forward thinking candidates who will deliver new ideas, new solutions and move on both in office. I really believe Brewster can be that Mayor for Austin!”
